Harvesting the Sun for Profit

Ag-Biotechnology Driven Solutions

Food shortages…

harvesting the sun

Climate change…
Dwindling oil reserves…
Carbon tax and cap and trade policies...
Water limitations and spiralling population growth.

These are issues that make the news every day.

To some, these issues appear like insurmountable problems; to PPI, they are unparalleled opportunities. The alignment of these issues represents a rare opportunity for stronger, more resilient, more productive, climate adaptable food and non-food crops that will play a pivotal role in helping build a sustainable future for the world.

Enhancing crops for up to double-digit gains in yield, expanding the areas where agriculture can thrive through the development of drought-resistant species and developing existing plant species as a more efficient source of non-food biomass for ethanol, butanol and bio-diesel and solid fuel is the most direct path to a sustainable future.  With only 7% of the world's arable land and 6% of its water sources being used to feed more than 20% of the world's population, part of the solution is through technology.

PPI’s ag-biotechnologies address two critical needs for global survival;  increased global food supply and increased raw material for renewable fuels and non-food consumer agri-crops.
