RiceTec

RiceTec Inc. is an integrated rice company specializing in the breeding, development, production and marketing of high-value rice products. Headquartered in Alvin, Texas, the company is the first company to commercialize hybrid rice seed in the United States.  In 2012, RiceTec and PPI entered a two year extension agreement allowing RiceTec to continue R&D using PPI’s YPT® in rice for drought tolerance.   Website:  www.ricetec.com.

Mahyco

Mahyco is a pioneer and leader in the Indian seed industry.  The company strives to provide quality hybrid seeds. Currently, it is engaged in the research, production, processing and marketing of products in 30 crop species including cereals, oilseeds, fiber and vegetables in India.   In 2013, Mahyco and PPI entered into a multi-crop multi-technology agreement for crop improvement in India and other southern Asian countries.  These technologies include PPI’s Heat & Drought Tolerance Technology™ (HDT™), Yield Protection Technology® (YPT®)  and Yield Enhancement Technology™ (YET™).  Website: www.mahyco.com.

Biocentury

Based in Shenzhen, China, Biocentury is a fully integrated ag-biotech and seed company.  Formed in 1998, Biocentury has its own R&D center, breeding stations, seed production and processing centers including marketing and sales centers throughout the three major cotton segments in China.   In 2011, PPI licensed Heat & Drought Tolerance Technology™  HDT ™ into Biocentury’s market leading cotton seeds in a commercial agreement enhancing Biocentury’s competitiveness in China. With over 15 years experience in agricultural industry, Beijing Dabeinong Technology Group Co., Ltd., (DBN) has a proven record of bringing discovery to commercialization in China and Asia and Pacific. DBN is a leading agricultural company in feed and seed product development and technology innovation in China.  The company entered into a commercial licensing agreement in corn and a R&D agreement in rice and soybean with PPI in 2011.  Website: www.dbn.com.cn.

Shaanxi Hybrid Rapeseed Research Center  

The Shaanxi Hybrid Rapeseed Research Center (SHRRC) is a public institution in agricultural research under the direct leadership of Ministry of Science and Technology of Shaanxi Province of China. The center has excellent capabilities in research, experimentation, technology development and demonstration to support the innovative breeding and cultivation of a wide variety of rapeseed.  PPI and SHRRC signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in 2011, strengthening business partnerships in China and pushing forward PPI’s global technology and product commercialization development plan.  Website: www.shrc.org.cn.
