Our in-depth understanding of the functions of plant’s own genes has enabled us to use precise genetic regulation to optimize crop performance for these results. 

We currently focus on the highest volume of staple crops globally, for both food (such as rice, wheat, corn, and soybean) and non-food, Clean Tech (cotton, natural rubber, ornamentals & grasses) crops.

Our Results-First Trait Discovery Platform

We first identify high performing plants and then find the key genes responsible for that high performance. Our discovery process begins with understanding which plant traits would provide solutions to consumers, farmers, and industry. Using advanced genetic and molecular tools, our scientists then identify the specific change in gene expression that results in the desired effects in laboratory plants. From here, an optimized gene is introduced into crop species through bioengineering then advanced breeding methods to bring the improved traits into elite germplasms. Following detailed and rigorous assessments, the genetic traits are thoroughly tested and validated in crops under laboratory and field conditions.
