Stackable Traits for a Customized Solution

  • Climate-ready, yield enhancing technologies using plants’ own genes

    PET.

Productivity Enhancement Technology (PET) is a new breakthrough technology that enables plants to develop a much more robust root structure to capture water and nutrients more efficiently, resulting in significantly higher productivity including seed yield under variable water and nutrient conditions. Since improved root biomass also helps to deposit atmospheric carbon in the soil, this technology provides an outstanding solution for improving crop productivity while mitigating climate change.

    HDT.

Heat or drought stress occurring at the reproductive stages can result in significant and permanent damage to crop yield. Heat and Drought Tolerance Technology (HDT™) preserves yield by enhancing plants’ tolerance to heat or combined stresses and is a must-have solution for crop yield protection amidst rapid global warming and water scarcity in many environmentally challenging growth regions of the world.

    YET.

YET significantly boosts the seed yield of a plant under both optimal and stressed growth conditions.

    YPT.

Yield Protection Technology (YPT) enables plants to maintain maximum yield through periods of drought. Drought is frequently manifested in field conditions and is a major cause of crop yield loss. The YPT genes control the size of the pores (stomata) on the surface of leaves. YPT plants are able to cope with temporary drought stress better as they are more effective in reduction of water loss by closing their pores in response to low soil water conditions. Thus, under normal growth conditions, YPT plants behave like wild-type plants but under drought conditions, YPT plants are stress-tolerant and produce higher yield without compromising any agronomic characteristics.

    BET.

Biomass Enhancement Technology (BET™) improves plant biomass per growing acre, thereby enhancing productivity of biomaterial and feed crops for a wide variety of industrial applications.

    WET.

Water Use Efficiency Technology (WET) maximizes crop growth and productivity with reduced use of water, allowing crops to grow in regions that are constantly short of water or regions that rely on irrigation during the entire growth season.
